VOCATIONAL STRATEGIES, INCORPORATED (VSI) has been providing
training for adults with mental and physical
disabilities since 1970. During the past thirty years,
the social climate has changed and special education and
vocational rehabilitation services have taken a more
progressive direction. Developing individual vocational
skills, providing supported employment opportunities,
and ensuring community-based job integration has become
the core of our agency's efforts.
VSI's MISSION ...
... is to identify, develop, implement, and
coordinate vocational rehabilitation programs for people
with disabilities. Our vocational skill development will
assist the people we serve to lead a more fulfilling
life through the development of their vocational and
self-advocacy skills.
VSI continues to accomplish this task through a careful
mix of human support services and functional hands-on
vocational training.
Depending on the individual's aptitude and interest, he
may enroll in a variety of accredited services. Whether
the individual needs assistance determining an area of
vocational interest through our series of assessments;
training in a specific vocation; supported employment;
or help with the rigors of conducting a job search - we
can help!
