VSI's Personal & Work
Opportunities Program (PWO) has a variety of
services and opportunities available to help each
consumer reach his highest potential for work and
personal growth. The Personal Work Opportunities (PWO)
program assists individuals that are in need of basic
vocational skill development, supported employment,
self-advocacy training, and social opportunities.
The Community Job Readiness Program (CJR) aides
the participant in the development of a practical
vocational plan and attainment of community
employment-specific to the training and employment needs
of the individual.
VSI also provides consumers the opportunity to learn
practical vocational skills through the Work Services
Program (WSP). The WSP provides as many
opportunities to learn a new skill or trade as possible.
VSI incorporates a hands-on, learn by doing approach to
help prepare each individual, to the best of his
abilities, to develop vocational skills and provide a
real life understanding of the demands of employment and
the job market. |
